have you any idea for how many years Edgar Wright has been pushing Marvel to accept his script for Ant Man? he’s a world famous director, one of those that bring people to the theatre just because it’s him directing, so of course now that they have money Marvel is more than willing to allow him making his movie! they did not decide “ehi let’s make another white dude superhero movie, pick a random one that will make people pissed”, they trusted the mind of a great writer and director that has been willing for years to work on the project.

Guardians of the Galaxy is aimed to introduce the universal dimension of Marvel for real, including not hostile species and cosmic powers, and so it would make Miss. Marvel possible. without Guardians or a similar movie, any other hero with cosmic powers’s concept itself would be quite out of the blue and rushed for anyone that is not a fan knowing all the backgrounds of Marvel.

I would love as well to have right now a movie about Black Panther or Miss. Marvel (because despite how much I love the others left out Avengers, those are the only other classic members that could sustain a solo movie), but Marvel announced just the next two years movies… considering they started planning Avengers four years ahead, how can you know for sure they are not going to make one?

they won’t stop making movies after the next two years, Avengers 2 is scheduled to be released in 2015 probably, that means one or two other slots open for that year, and two or three slots at year for all the years after.
